General advice

The general advice service allows you to ask general questions on financial and debt matters. The service is suitable for you if you want to ask questions anonymously or have concerns about the financial situation of a loved one. A financial and debt counsellor can help you confidentially and the service is free of charge.

You can ask anonymous questions to a financial and debt counsellor during the chat service’s opening hours from Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 12 noon and on Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. You cannot make an appointment or start a client relationship with a financial and debt counsellor through the chat service.

If you are not comfortable acting electronically, you can contact the financial and debt counselling telephone service while the lines are open. You can find service numbers and call times for each office on the contact details page.
